The 5K Run for Charity is a community service activity of The Wilmington College Premedical Chapter of AMSA, The American Medical Student Association.
The race is held every year in the spring in Wilmington, Ohio. Serious runners, recreational runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate. The course passes over some lightly travelled city streets but most of the course is on the 4C Bicentennial Trail bike path. The race is accurately marked and timed.
AMSA solicits sponsorships from local businesses and from within the college. These funds are used to pay for race expenses including T-shirts for participants, awards and door prizes. Surplus sponsorship money and all entry fees are donated to the United Way for the benefit of the Clinton County Free Clinic.
